so, the time has come when i start thinking less and less about using an eel to trick a nice striper into being caught by me, and start thinking more and more about tricking a nice deer into walking within range of one of my arrows.

unfortunately, as the rest of the pendejos can attest, i have not been able to spend much time on the water this year. however, NOTHING comes between me and hunting season.

so, soon it is sweet sorrow for me to hang up the fishing poles and start practicing with my bow. dont get me wrong, i would still like to get out and do some fishing, it's just that hunting takes total control of my life starting 15 september (kind of like rol's blackfish addiction)

anyone else get the same feelings i do? or am i all alone in this liberal, disgusting, overtaxed, anti-hunting arm-pit of a state?

I bow hunt as well. here in NY the bow season does not open till after Columbus Day. Its hard to split the time between fishing and hunting. Last year I seperated my shoulder playing softball in the fall, so my huntine season was quick. Hopefully once my physical therapy is done, Ill be able to pull the bow back.

Starting to get that itch myself. Just started making the after supper dusk rides. Saw eight deer last evening before dark. Can't wait! I got two bucks last year out of the same tree that my brother got one a week before. Nothing big, but I freaking love killing them with arrows man!

Here's last years. The smaller one came in and I shot him. Ten seconds later I hear one coming in quick from the other direction. I barely had time to nock another arrow and he was under me. Double lunged him at ten yards. I think they were meeting for a fight. In MA you can kill two deer in one day. It was an awesome hunt.

mark...beautiful deer! two deer in one day is just WAY too much work for me! i have done it with a rifle, and i dont like it at all. however, if i saw that bruiser coming in, i would definitely take him out.

i got into my treestand last night, trying to get rid of a couple coyotes i have raiding the small creatures at my feeder. also hoping to take out some of the pesky racoons. only thing i saw was a nice gobbler. fun to watch, but not in season.

freddy... i feel your pain man, i broke 2 ribs playing softball this year...we are getting too old for this crap!
